Our last platform update brought several excellent additions to the Brid.TV platform, like the introduction of tag competitive bidding and DRM support. And this time’s no different.
Today’s platform update focuses on several significant improvements to our ad serving system and a few notable quality of life features.
Let’s take a quick look at what came with the 6.2.5. update!
Introducing Dynamic Ad Insertion Support
As of this platform update, Brid.TV player now fully supports Google’s dynamic ad insertion. This technology lets publishers stitch their ads with their video content in a single video stream to help them reduce buffering latency and make delivering videos to the OTT realm easier.
You can learn more about this technology at this link.
New Picture-in-Picture Support for the Brid.TV Player
Another exciting feature publishers can now use is to enable the picture-in-picture option for their players. That means their users will be able to minimize and resize the player at will and keep watching content while browsing other pages.
This feature is fully supported on Google Chrome, Safari, MS Edge, and Opera browsers. On mobile devices, the picture-in-picture feature is supported on Android Chrome and iOS Safari.
Trim Videos Straight from the Brid.TV CMS
As of this update, publishers can now also trim videos straight from the Brid.TV CMS. Publishers can choose to save the trimmed video as a new file or overwrite the source. This quality of life change means that making small edits to videos will be that much easier.
Publishers can access this feature from the new Video Editor section from the Video Settings screen in our CMS.
