Our latest 6.1.5. platform update brought with it several major changes to some of our platform features, but one of the most exciting ones was the update we made to our Video Carousel unit.

Ever since we first launched our Video Carousel unit in 2020, it has been helping premium publishers without any videos monetize their websites and encouraging their users to engage with more of their content.

But today, we’re excited to share two significant changes to our Carousel unit that all publishers are sure to love:

  • Our Video Carousel feature got a complete visual overhaul
  • Publishers can now create carousels from videos on their websites

Let’s dive into these changes!

If you’re not subscribed to our Premium plan and have never used our Video Carousel feature before, here’s a quick overview of what you’ve been missing:

  • Brid.TV Video Carousel unit lets publishers create short, animated videos using different articles on their websites straight from the Brid.TV CMS.
  • Publishers can set up a Video Carousel through an RSS feed or by pasting up to five article URLs in our carousel creation section of our CMS.

Brid.TV’s Carousel Unit was designed to allow publishers without much video content to serve video ads on their websites and boost user engagement with their articles. And now, they can do that so much better.

As of this update, our Video Carousel units got a sleek, new look. We have changed the way article titles look, the design of our optional “Read More” button, rehauled the visuals of our slide-changing arrows, and added several new customization features. Publishers’ Video Carousels will now stand out more on their websites and invite more users to engage with their content.

The best news we have in this update is that publishers aren’t limited to using articles and images when making Video Carousels anymore. You can take user engagement to the next level now by creating Carousel units with video files hosted on your site.

Publishers can seamlessly insert video links in our Carousel creation section in the CMS. From there, they can customize the length of each Carousel segment and choose the exact parts they want to include in their Carousels. Here’s a quick example of how that would look:

How Publishers Can Make Video Carousels

There are three primary ways publishers can make video carousels:

  • By adding links to videos or articles on their website from our CMS
  • By pasting a link to existing RSS or MRSS feeds to pick up the content for your carousels automatically
  • By mixing and matching video and image slides (only available using the first method)

Note: Publishers who want to enable the option to make Carousels with MRSS feeds must first reach out to us to have it enabled.
