Vertical Video Feature: Display Your Videos Proudly
Horizontal videos have been around for decades and some say they’re the “old school” way we watch online content, TV shows, and movies. This format isn’t going anywhere and publishers are prone to making and displaying their content in this orientation.
However, more than 75% of worldwide video viewing happens on smartphones. In addition to that, one survey found that 94% of smartphone users hold their phones vertically. It’s no surprise, then, that vertical video has become a must for marketers. In fact, portrait orientation is second nature to Instagram, Facebook Story, TikTok, and Snapchat users.
As more and more brands turn to social media to engage and interact with their target audience, we’ve seen an increase in the amount of vertical video posted online. That’s why we decided to develop a feature that enables publishers to display any video in our player — regardless of whether it’s horizontal or vertical.
Additionally, Brid.TV’s Vertical Video feature helps you reach your audience outside of social media platforms and deliver your content anywhere you want.

How to Use Vertical Video Feature
Just like our other options, the Vertical Video feature is easy to use and doesn’t require any technical know-how. The only thing you need is a video in portrait orientation and our video player will do the rest.
How do you use the feature?
All you need to do is access our CMS and log in to your account. Select the website of your choice so you can start setting up the new feature. Then, click on the “Players” option and create a new player.
There, all you have to do is ensure that the height of this new player is larger than its width, which will prompt it to enter “TikTok” mode.
After you set up the player size, go over other settings and adjust them to your liking. Press “Save” for all changes to take effect.
And that’s it! As you can see, our Vertical Video feature is easy to set up and use!
